Throughout 2020 I recorded dreams in a journal, documenting and sketching scenes before creating monotypes from memory. The influence of media and games in dictating the narrative and content of dreams is intriguing and creates an uncanny piecing together of identity.
Developing a technique of erasing and layering water-based ink on watercolour paper, the creation and modification of the images are reminiscent of analogue darkroom processes.
