“Howl” and “Option 1”

Howl created in Collaboration with Jinsol (Carly) Seong. While studying I discovered a new interest in art direction for film. I learnt to prepare script breakdowns, art department budgets, pitch concepts, create floor plans, croquis, concept art and build scale models.
I’d love to further pursue this area of design for screen production.

Pictured are some of my set concepts for one of my collaboration projects with Jinsol Seong (who managed costume) for our gritty, cyberpunk adaptation of Hayao Miyazaki’s Howl’s Moving Castle which draws on the movie adaptation’s heavier themes of war, politics, class and self love.
